A few months ago, it came to my attention that I should change the surname of my long-standing OC, Alexei Kurdrorfsky, when a fellow artist (who shall not be named) pointed out that Kurdrorfsky isn't a real surname, just some faintly Slavic-sounding nonsense that I made up when I was 16 or something.
I take realism extremely seriously in my writings and to that end, I have, after much deliberation, changed Alexei's surname to Volkov. I have also changed his father's given name from Ilya to Evgeny, forcing me to change Alexei's middle name too, as dictated by Eastern Slavic naming customs. Goodbye Alexei Ilyich Kurdrorfsky, hello Alexei Evgenyevich Volkov.
In addition, I will be completely reinventing Alexei's character for When the Hunters Become the Hunted *SPOILERS* Alexei Volkov will be a young Soviet superhero working for the Ministry of Internal Affairs (the ministry responsible for professional superheroics in the Soviet Union at the time). *END SPOILERS*

I was wrong (but I'm not sorry)
Comrades, I was wrong. It turns out it wasn't the Israeli government who hacked me and got me banned from Etsy after all, but rather some common cyber-criminal trying to commit identity theft (although I still believe the offender(s) to be based in Berlin). This came to light after someone unsuccessfully attempted to make a series of unauthorised payments using my PayPal account. What all of this means in practice is that I've purged my DeviantArt account and YouTube Favourites list of pro-Palestinian content for nothing. As such, I refuse to apologize to the State of Israel for no-so-subtlety accusing them of hacking me, for the day I apologise to a racist, overtly genocidal, settler-colonial apartheid state for anything is the day I take a petrol chainsaw, shove it up my anal cavity and sodomise myself to death with it! Deal with it, Netanyahu!
I have been silenced!
Due to my outspoken criticism of a certain foreign government for their ongoing crimes against a certain people in a certain part of the world, I have unfortunately become the victim of hackers in an apparent act of cyber-warfare by or at the behest of said foreign government. I shall not name those I believe to be responsible, for obvious legal and cybersecurity reasons, but because of their actions, I've been locked out of my Microsoft and Disney+ accounts, I've been forced to put a stop on my bank card, I've had to close my Ricardo account, my Etsy account has been permanently suspended under false pretenses and my father and I have been forced to completely rebuild my PC. ("Fun!" he said sarcastically.) In addition, because we believe these attacks to be part of a deliberate campaign of cyber-warfare (most likely by the foreign government I had hitherto been so vocal in condemning),I have been forced to purge my DeviantArt account and YouTube Favourites list of any and all
In loving memory of Mikhail Gorbachev (1931-2022)
The former President of the Soviet Union and former General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, has died today. He was ninety-one. As a committed socialist and long-time admirer of him, his principles and his policies (especially Glasnost), the impact he had on shaping both my own political ideology and my very outlook on life cannot be overstated. I am the man I am today in no small part due to his teachings. His death has affected me deeply and, as such, I will be dedicating all future chapters of my fanfic, When the Hunters Become the Hunted, to his memory. Rest in power, Comrade President/Comrade General Secretary. Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev, who died today.
Choosing a new Elasticycle
A very warm bonjourhello, Grüezi mitenand and also zdravstvuyte to you all, dear comrades! I'm Swissair171 and I need your help! As you no doubt aware by now, I am currently working on an Incredibles fanfic called When the Hunters Become the Hunted. Set in the late 1970s, it takes place some four years after the events of The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 (at least according to my headcanon) and in a forthcoming chapter, Winston Deavor (aided and abetted by various OCs of mine) will be getting Helen Parr (AKA Elastigirl) a new Elasticycle for Christmas, and unlike the one in Incredibles 2, it will be based on a production model from the period. The trouble is that I simply can't decide on what bike they should get her. I've narrowed it down to a shortlist of five and I can't pick between them. This is where you come in. Let me know in the Comments section of this journal entry which of the following motorcycles you think Winston and my gang of OCs should get for Helen. A red 1979
